So Trypophobia is a real thing and tons of people have it including several ILX folks even... and yet Wikipedia is still all "Ha! A fear of clusters of little holes? Oh what will they think of next?"

Yeah, tell that to the 4,000+ members in the trypophobia group in Facebook. And if you google it, you get shit load of hits. My sister and I have had it since we were kids and we're now in our 60's, and it wasn't given a name until 2005. As most trypophobes say: "We thought we were the only ones."

Interesting that you came upon this thread and seem to be fascinated by it. Do you read about it and view the photos, or just read, or both? Since you're "thanking" ILX, do you think you may be trypophobic? Some people claim they weren't trypophobic until they stumbled upon it on the Internet and got creeped out by the photos. For example, some say that they became trypophobic when they saw the lotus boob.

My trypophobia has slowly evolved into trypophilia due to this thread. I miss the old days of trypophobia. Big old-skool holes. It's just not the same anymore.

I guess I have both. I also have OCD, which has made me fascinated with trypo images. My trypo has pretty much calmed down and the images that used to scare the hell out of me, don't anymore. I guess my meds have finally kicked in. I don't miss the old days by a long shot. I've been wondering whether the people who used to come in here and bitch have gone away. This thread was out of order for a while and seems that only a few people have returned. I just keep plugging along posting photos.
