put very little thought into it tbh. regret not placing ulcerate higher. (only one other person voted for this???)

ive told you guys, campaigning works. Putting that effort in makes a massive difference!

can i just say again big thanks to Glenn for the needle stats. He really is awesome and this poll couldn't be done without him!

Armand Schaubroeck Ratfucker, Tuesday, 24 January 2012 02:15 (five years ago) Permalink

You guys definitely win the battle of the stats :)

Angrrau Birds (seandalai), Tuesday, 24 January 2012 02:35 (five years ago) Permalink

yeah, as always, much respect to glenn. the stats are really amazing.

original bgm, Tuesday, 24 January 2012 05:38 (five years ago) Permalink

They are. Got any particular favourites?

Armand Schaubroeck Ratfucker, Tuesday, 24 January 2012 08:28 (five years ago) Permalink

the maps are fun. and, of course, the 'falseness' stats.

original bgm, Tuesday, 24 January 2012 15:48 (five years ago) Permalink

I like the compatibility stats; it's proof that there's an outloud hivemind sprouting

I was looking at previous poll results, and there's really an unending supply of stuff I haven't heard, heh. You know what would be cool, is an ongoing master list of albums from all the metal polls. Ranking by just points might be a bit off as different numbers of people voted various years. Maybe percentage of total points?

Fastnbulbous, Friday, 27 January 2012 21:43 (five years ago) Permalink

Okay, maybe super-geeky rather than cool.

Fastnbulbous, Friday, 27 January 2012 21:44 (five years ago) Permalink

you can do it if you like!

Armand Schaubroeck Ratfucker, Friday, 27 January 2012 23:34 (five years ago) Permalink

wow Hammers of Misfortune won!? the drummer is in my preschool co-op lol, they practice across the hall from us.

Full Frontal Newtity (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 27 January 2012 23:37 (five years ago) Permalink

Be sure to let him know!

CJ Fam Club (seandalai), Friday, 27 January 2012 23:40 (five years ago) Permalink

I will! it's funny, at first I just noticed him at parent meetings (ie "hmmm that longhair over there appears to be quite the hesher, must be in a band") and then a vinyl copy of 17th Street showed up at the school auction and I was like AHA

his kid and my kid are friends, which is cute

three weeks pass...

Wow, that Corrupted album is like beautiful.

EveningStar (Sund4r), Saturday, 18 February 2012 23:43 (five years ago) Permalink

I think this is my favourite Mastodon album.

EveningStar (Sund4r), Monday, 20 February 2012 01:27 (five years ago) Permalink

The Hammers of Misfortune isn't on Grooveshark but I've made it through the rest of the top 20 now. I really liked everything except Uncle Acid and Altar of Plagues. Maybe those could grow on me.

EveningStar (Sund4r), Thursday, 23 February 2012 06:06 (five years ago) Permalink

i have been playing the shit out of uncle acid, sorry i missed it during the year.

j., Thursday, 23 February 2012 06:38 (five years ago) Permalink

altar of plagues was boring, though. i have yet to really get behind boring arty black metal.

j., Thursday, 23 February 2012 06:39 (five years ago) Permalink

altar of plagues are great. remember the spotify playlist btw

pfunkboy (Algerian Goalkeeper), Thursday, 23 February 2012 12:11 (five years ago) Permalink

17th Street is a bit too.. Queen for my liking
