Not seen that album cover before, it's really quite a strange one. Anyone have an explanation for it?

Maybe one of the band painted it? A la "Barrett"? Was Clapton at art school?

is not a illustration of things that you can cream, eg cream of tomato soup?

Internet tells me it was by Jim Dine, and I assume that's the Jim Dine

There are about 10,000 vinyl records; I haven’t counted the CDs. These records here are mostly jazz. I almost always work listening to music.

is he... is he playing vinyl??

i almost feel like vinyl's recent spike in value would make DJs think twice before taking their records out. most recent nights out with a DJ I (a 48yo who rarely goes out anywhere with a DJ anymore) have experienced have involved CDs or hard-drives or even streaming from iphone.

(20 years ago I'd be slogging bags full of vinyl all over London on night-buses after DJing gigs cursing my sentimentality for the format meaning I had to slog bags full of vinyl all over London on night-buses after DJing gigs, rather than DJing off CDRs like the other DJs I knew)

there's a club night on London, Scared to Dance, that regularly gets younger comedians to dj. rose matefao, sophie dukah, ivo, elis james and, er, nish kumar have all djed in the last few months
