changing up yr style and/or new look 4 u in 2012

there are a lot of clothes that look great on the rack and weird on me, it's true, but i'm not complainin, nope, haha, not with these legs! but i gain weight in an 'apple' way, which means even 2 lbs seems to add an inch to my waist. and my face, lol...

Y'all unless you're a fit model for a specific line of clothes, it will only be random happenstance that something fits all your unique proportions just right. We're all lovely and stylish (or striving toward stylish) and every body has quirky parts. No bad self-talk 2012!

I'm fine with my body parts, but I covet clothes I can never wear. My life is very sad without that red dress in it.

for a couple of years there, it was really hard to find a skirt that wasn't all full and/or with pleats up to the waist - and even though the patterns and fabrics were pretty, i didn't buy one skirt during this time! srsly the worst style on me for so many reasons, didn't even matter that my legs looked good - it's like legs coming out of a balloon person, lol. but not my body's fault! i had to try on 10-20 skirts to realize this though. no bad self-talk in 2012, for real!!

i think i am going to embark on some jegging shopping this week. kind of scared to try them on. i've resisted the legging trend for so long but i think ~it's time~.

I've been tempted with jeggings. And leggings as pants. All my style rules.. :*( but I am sick of baggy pants. I find that pants either fit me really nicely in the back (tight against my awesome butt!) or nicely in the front (no camel toe/not too grabby on my tummy.) I can never find both. I think the real solution here is a ton of situps or something, but.. I have dresses.

I got a $50 Macy's gift card from work so I'm going to go lacy expensive bra shopping. Maybe today!

yay for lacy expensive bras! My husband bought me two for Christmas (plainish, not very expensive ones) which fit poorly so I exchanged them last night and now I have plain but exceptionally comfortable new t-shirt bras in black and beige. The straps are so nice and stretchy! I gave in and moved up from a 38 to a 40. So much more comfortable.

Okay, I ordered the boots. So much for winter wellies, eh?

I have very standard proportions, so most clothes fit me just right... I mean, except I am very large-chested, and wide-hipped.. and pretty much big everywhere. Still, I work it. Damn, gurl.

I also will wear just about anything these days, "flattering" be damned.

I procured a new fancy bra and panty set from Agent Provocateur on SALE and oh my god the bra size that fit best was a double D! A DOUBLE D!

Having worn the same model of Wacoal 34C bras for ages now, it now occurs to me that omg maybe I one of the 99% or whatever of women who has been wearing the wrong bra size. Me! Wrong size!

This would so explain the escaping left nipple problem, perhaps?

Anyhow I am going to suck it up and try on a D bra and laugh as I do it because I spent so many years as the chair of the itty bitty titty committee.

I know that ladies often wear the wrong size but how could you spend years not knowing you had a secret huge rack!? I want pretty lacy bras now. Would def not be a DD though. :(

No I agree that a C is not itty bitty, but throughout high school and much of college, I did not have a lot of boob going on. I hit a C sometime after grad school when I had a grown up job that paid enough for me to eat more delicious foodz.

I think the DD was an oddity of this particular fancy AP bra, but I will try the D in my boring old Wacoal model and see if that is better at keeping nipples in check!

Laurel - i am envious of your shoulders because that means you can fit into way more vintage dresses and tops than I can. I first learned to sew so that I could expand the shoulders and sleeves of vintage dresses to fit my peasantly dimensions.
