I grew to love Friday, have fuzzy but somewhat positive memories of the second single. This one is really terrible, though. How many other artists turned this turd down before it got to her?

Not difficult at all... She'll re-record it with a plaintive piano-only backing, call it "Friday: Unplugged" and sold exclusively through Starbucks. I'm sure her agent has already arranged for her to appear on VH-1's I Love The 2010s!

"Friday" was/is actually catchy and fascinating and was joyously stuck in my head for two weeks. All of the obvious copycats trying to recapture the magic are predictably failing hugely.
