I can assure you that I've heard and/or seen even worse over the years.

I used to handle review copies for a publisher and we did get some scammers. I think the worst I ever saw was a fake magazine website with articles lifted directly from Slate. Still this doesn't sound unscripted to me:

Having asked the publicist, I got this back -- not scripted, but sometimes directed:

I keep a pad next to me with interesting topics or comebacks that I've come up with in case the conversation turns that way....so while I'm talking on the phone, if I can steer the convo to get to use that line, I will. And I transcribe all my conversations as they happen. If you saw my notebook, it's wild. Only 10% of the calls I get make it into the blog. A lot of them are boring or lame, but some are comedic gold. The only editing I do is artist names or anything that pinpoints who it is, but I never change any verbiage or add anything for comedic effect. It's all 100% verbatim.

Obsessive, hey, but we all have our habits.

tumblr is appealing to me but one thing bothers me about it: i never see a list of tags on the right like on wordpress/blogger, so to see all of a person's posts about x thing you just have to look at the archive and find them one by one. is there a way to make this happen on tumblr, is it in-built into any of the styles?

mine allows that, i think? i've used it to find things.

i feel like the only taging ive seen on tumblr is hashtagging which when clicked obv links you to everything anyone in the world has tagged w/ that. seems like its set up to make categories/organization of posts impossible in an individual blog? im tumblr dumb tho

why would tumblr communities make anyone embarrassed, any more than FB groups or twitter lists? Not vouching for the morality of theft, but can say that when I stumbled onto the ring of graffiti/street art tumblr blogs, it was a pretty easy decision to follow like-minded people, and not have to ever worry about cluttering my feed with unwanted stuff.
