I love that two acts who have made careers out of pissing off their fans have banded together to piss off EVERYBODY IN THE WORLD.

so far for me the only thing spoiling this is some almost comical singing from hetfield (i've only heard the first two songs).

Figured it out -- this is the equivalent of that one Phish album they did with that burnout/performance art buddy of theirs, the Dude of Life or whoever he was.

"Junior Dad" is genuinely good. And yeah, Hetfield's singing makes this album a lot worse.

After all the fragments of "Pumping Blood", I like the single momentum of "Mistress Dread".

i quite like that dissonant sounding interlude in "pumping blood". it's one of the few parts i've heard so far where the incongruence between vocals and music works for me so far.

haha "iced honey" is kind of how i imagined this whole album would sound in light of the "sweet jane" footage.
