modeselektor - happy birthday

I like both the Thom Yorke tracks!

I think this might already be the most consistent/my favorite Modeselektor album

I didn't really rate Monkeytown all that highly last year but after a comment on the Orbital thread re: "Modeselektor is the new Orbital" I went back to it and am really digging it now.

The joke is simple but I've played "Pretentious Friends" like four times in a row. "The pâté was fabulous!"

They even make hilarious promos. I forget which album but the promo was them supposedly being interviewed by a nerdish Long Island Internet DJ. Lots of fuzzy sounding Gallic mockery.

I'd also forgotten how much I like "Green Light Go"

It's very reminiscent of "Blue Mug" by Gus Gus

Yeah the was the Hello Mo promo, xp. It's annoying after about 5 seconds, though. And then I have to hit the skip button after every track ends to escape it. So glad to hear it's not on the "non-promo" version.

and, now that the nights are drawing in, this is probably going to be a massive playlister.
