i want your recipes... ethiopian is one of my all-time fav cuisines.

baked macaroni and fucking cheese

here's what i put in the berbere (you can make it hotter by adding more cayenne/paprika, but this was plenty hot):

2 tsp cumin
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cayenne
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp fenugreek
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp cardamom
1/4 tsp turmeric

i have most of those in my spice rack!

Gorgonzola cheddar walnut spinach pear panini with fig preserves. (Asparagus on the side.)

our fucking dinner was breakfast burritos with soy chorizo (squeezed lovingly out of its phallic casing) and corn-holio on the cob.

my fucking dinner was a haddock, cod and salmon pie and i don't even like fish tbh

fiddleheads sauteed with ramps, ginger, basil, and chili.

vodka lemonade with muddled basil and fresh ginger.

fuck. fuck. cleared off counter and made roughest chewiest noodles, rolled and stretched. pickled vegetables and pork on top. dish of soffft vanilla icecreamy tofu with black eggs and black vinegar and white pepper.

fucking fiddleheads and ramps are such a good combo!

fucking chinese takeout: mongolian beef, chicken w cashew, bbq pork chow fun, potstickers.

last night - unusually midwestern-hour pre-concert dinner/lunch of (best-in-years) arctic char, scallions, more than one variety of broccoli, and pasta with pouilly-fuisse, first dessert of comice and end-of-season tri-star strawberries, second dessert of plum tart slice, second dinner of leftover tikka masala, saag, rice, and naan
