Has anyone ever played a game where if you shoot the ball all the way up to the top of the board it goes into a digital pinball game? which game did this

jon baby Pac Man, I think? Attack from mars had a video mode where you shot flying saucers.

Mr. Que, Monday, 7 May 2007 18:07 (twelve years ago) link

anyway, re: espresso, go for the medaglia d'oro if you can find it jon, best ground espresso coffee i've used

elmo argonaut, Monday, 7 May 2007 18:08 (twelve years ago) link

except it didn't exactly work that way. you started doing the video pac man maze and then you can make it go into a pinball game.

Mr. Que, Monday, 7 May 2007 18:08 (twelve years ago) link

my dad is seriously a very good pinball player but he often hipchecks machine too hard and gets TILT.

some games have tilt turned off which is awesome. generally, you can push it back and forth a little bit, but not side to side

it's pretty important to be either drinking coffee or alcohol when playing pinball. coffee focuses me somehow and alcohol makes me play all crazy and aggressive.

One time I was guilt-racked by a shady (on my part) weed purchase; me & some folks, desperate, managed to come up with $30 in QUARTERS. I rolled them up and brought them to dude, he was obviously all WTF at the time.

I saw him like 2 weeks later and he was all THK U THK U THK U because he was STILL playing the Jurassic Park pinball game at the pizza place next to his house off that same cache of quarters.

nickalicious, Monday, 7 May 2007 18:36 (twelve years ago) link

This place I used to play often in my ill-advised rap-metal band had one of these, it actually kind of stank:

jw did you travel back in time and steal my brain from college, because i used to think the same thing. like a pinball game that gave you a donut or a cup of coffee instead of a free game.

u_u --
In November 2005 The Pinball Factory (TPF), based in Melbourne, Australia, announced that they would be producing a new Crocodile Hunter-themed pinball machine under the Bally label. However, with the recent death of Steve Irwin, it was announced that the future of this game has become uncertain.[1]

Catsupppppppppppppp dude ‫茄蕃‪, Monday, 7 May 2007 19:03 (twelve years ago) link

Diner is the only pinball game i can think of with a coffee cup. You'd shoot the ball into it and the ball would spin around and around. It's at the top of the playfield:

How cool would it be if to unlock espresso shot (once you crossed correct threshold) you had to do all the tasks -- beans dropping down chute, grinding etc

Catsupppppppppppppp dude ‫茄蕃‪, Monday, 7 May 2007 19:13 (twelve years ago) link

the arcade near the place in Maine my family always goes to has those classic old baseball pinball cabinets, so awesome. you'd only get one ball per quarter, but if you got 21 runs the light on top would go off and the attendant would give you 100 tix. i used to rule that shit.

my third grade teacher had a pinball machine in her house and if you made 100% on the sar test or sra test or something or whatev it was called, she would take you to get ice cream after school and then to visit the surf shop she and her husband owned and then you got to play free pinball for 2 hours. THANK YOU MRS. BRADLEY.
