Finally got around to this. It was a blast, even if the storyline seems cookie-cutter coming from Shirow and the land of Final Franchise games. I picked up the OST!

yeah, the stakes werent very high for the main characters, I never felt that they were in peril physically or ideologically. The action scenes were very well done and the CG looked really good

I couldn't get into this films animation. Particularly I found the character animation too robotic and lacking so many of the expressive qualities hand drawn animation can offer.

watched this + the sequel Ex Machina recently. beautifully animated, and I didn't mind the plot too much - A++++ would live in this world
