1) I find their music completely uninpiring in every way possible.
Durst's vocal are mindbendingly awful. The music is a plodding
unfunky mess. And don't even get me started on the lyrics: "You
would think that I'd be movin' on, but I'm a sucker like I said
fucked up in the head, not!!" Uh yeah.
2) Durst is a jerk. As some folks have pointed out there are
certainly other folks who are equally jerky and probably way worse
(Dre, Chuck Berry, James Brown) but a) I like some of those folk's
music and b) these guys being wife-beaters and rapists, doesn't make
me like Durst's verbal and lyrical misogyny any more.
3) Frankly I don't like what Limp Bizkit advocates. "Break Stuff".
Sure. And go crazy fans. Yeah, bands can't be held responsible for
the idiocy of there fans, but there is point where if a band is
encouraging this idiocy where frankly the line becomes kind of
blurred. Yeah yeah so this is all some aping of black styles which
free whites from bourgeois conventions and expectations blah blah,
but wow what the fuck does this say about what they think about black
people that this is how they imitate them?
4) And what the fuck are they so mad about any way? The ennui of
modern living? Is this some bullshit Fight Club thing? What
the fuck is so awful that straight white middle class males are so
angry? Angry and bored, woo hoo. Most bands (not to mention fans)
who are this pissed have, oh I don't fucking know. . . a POINT. But
hey these guys are just what? Anti-social? Bored? Pissed at ex-
girlfriends? Give me a fucking break. One of the richer bands in
the world and singer is a freaking major player at Interscope (not to
mention formerly one of the mid 90's most pauper-ish professions:
TATTOO ARTIST). Tough life.
I suppose Limp Bizkit would just be another bad band, but listening
to their crap and watching Fight Club and reading about
Stiffed and it all just seemed to make perfect sense to me
that these things were all of a piece--this image of male frustration
over just not having it quite as good as they used to or losing a
little bit of that oh so deserved privilege and that was enough to
push Bizkit over that edge into one of my MOST hated bands ever.
Fair, maybe not. But hey ask Limp Bizkit and they'll tell you. Life
just ain't fair.

The answer to the initial question is the track with Method Man on it.

they were contracted to play in jakarta, indonesia, where they totally have enough fans to fill a stadium, even if tickets cost approximately 2 weeks salary for your average jakarta resident. a day before the gig, they cancelled, cause australia had put up a travel warning against traveling to indonesia - there wasn't even a bombing or anything, it was just your garden variety bush-esque "code yellow terrorism risk this week" you pretty much get 300 days a year from the aussie govt, year after year... if it was my grandmother i could understand, but i mean, these guys are supposed to be tough and fearless tattooed metalheads and shit, right?
irony dept: fuckin *AIR SUPPLY* showed up for *their* gig in jakarta two weeks later. limp biskit are a bunch of no-show fuckin pussies if you ask me
