Recently I found out about the "Time Warp" facility in the shareware
audio editor Goldwave - I've been spending hours speeding up mp3's,
while preserving their original pitch. Tom Waits' "I Don't Want To
Grow Up" sounds demonic put through this, if you get the settings
wrong.
