hahaha... this thing cost a lot of money, i'm not gonna futz around. i don't wanna be staring into a pond when i write.

it looks like you dropped a pebble into a pond and it ripples right around it

when i like

move the computer. i mean i don't want it to sound like the whole thing looks crazy - the comp looks beautiful but it definitely is noticable.

is the screen wet? have you checked the screen for moisture?

cousin larry bundgee (bundgee), Thursday, 4 January 2007 22:21 (seventeen years ago) link

no it's definitely not wet. i've barely used the thing. i mean, i've heard that there is a slight ripple when like the screen is moved. but i'm not even moving the screen. i'm just moving the computer, or typing. there shouldn't be a ripple at all, i feel

My monitor ripples like MAD HELL OCEANS whenever I brush near it with my electric toothbrush. But I have forced other people to witness this while I am brushing my teeth, but they don't see it. It is stationery for them while from my POV it is wobbling like mad. This makes me suspicious of my electric toothbrush.

do you have any metal implants? large ones only (cavities and such are fine)

cousin larry bundgee (bundgee), Thursday, 4 January 2007 22:57 (seventeen years ago) link

Oh I sure do, from the Idaho State University dental school. :( Just one big one tho on the left bottom side of my mouth, which is now getting smooshed by my wisdom teeth.

after more experimentation i've conluded that this computer is definitely not meant to ripple this much. i'm on hold for customer service right now. so annoying - i'm like the worst person for this to happen to. i'm picky enough as it is.
