hmm, lots of bar options. i wish i liked beer, it would mean even more options.
i think toby and i are here for xmas but as i don't drink beer, i'm not sure only old style is such a way for me to celebrate. but it kinda sounds awesome nonetheless.

What is the theme of quenchers? At least they have a decent bottle selection.

Wow. I did not realize it was so early when I wrote "why am I still up." I went to bed and read less than a page before I started going to sleep.
I woke up to find yet ANOTHER zit!!!! Why? That's 3, and they're all on the left side of my face.

I thought Western was the eastern boundary of Logan Square. If it isn't, what's between Wicker Park/Bucktown (which end at Western) and Logan Square?
― n/a, Thursday, 27 September 2007 12:09 (sixteen years ago) link
wikipedia: The community area of Logan Square is, in general, bounded by the NIRC railroad on the west, the North Branch of the Chicago River on the east, Diversey Avenue on the north, and the SOO Line railroad on the south.
That isn't very helpful.

Man, the "Farm" entry on Wikipedia continues to annoy me. Fucking vegans defaced it with statements about "dairy farms are places where female animals...are exploited as though they were objects."

According to the experts at ChicagoHome.com:
North Boundary: 2800 N Diversey South Boundary: 2400 N Fullerton East Boundary: 2400 W Western West Boundary: 3600 W Central Park

That doesn't seem right either ... what would be south of Fullerton? Humboldt Park?
― n/a, Thursday, 27 September 2007 12:20 (sixteen years ago) link
I like Quenchers, except for the name, which I find dumb, and the guy who kept reaching into the popcorn thing with his bare pee paws instead of using the scoop, which I found repulsive.
I am not talking about the Commerce Clause on the internet.

i wish there were a place i would feel comfortable dancing. i LOVE dancing. more specifically, i love dancing with people i know. dancing with people i don't know is considerably less fun.
quenchers sounds like a really bad north carolina bar. i know it's not, but it sounds like one. to me.

cray-cray Ha ha ha, John.
Ok, so this is the second time I've seen the word felch this week, so I finally looked it up in a slang dictionary online. I already wish I could go back to the halcyon days of not knowing.
Jordan, What is the vacay for? A tour? Something else?
I love love love dancing and I will go dancing whenever whereever with you people. Just name a date and place.

Colette - I was searching old threads about BOOTS because I have boots on the brain, and I found this pair of boots you posted which look alot like the ones I first posted upthread. How were/are they?
― KitCat, Thursday, 27 September 2007 13:39 (sixteen years ago) link
Jeff has to be 28 or younger, because he is younger than me.

Weird. I thought you'd done a story on it or something. I remember that one good time is after he/she has had their coffee for the day, but my boss doesn't drink coffee.

pseudo-tour, the same overseas jazz festival we did a couple times before except a week longer this time
― Jordan, Thursday, 27 September 2007 14:29 (sixteen years ago) link
Where will you be heading this time? Do you know?
― KitCat, Thursday, 27 September 2007 14:32 (sixteen years ago) link
The main thing is in Ascona, Switzerland, but we'll be there a week ahead of time to go around a do promo shows in nearby towns and in Northern Italy, I think.
I've still never been on a real tour (which in my mind = longer than 5 days and playing every show in a new place) but it's a pretty cushy gig. :>

We auditioned a new pianist last night. Apparently he knows Dan M. from back at MTU, although not well, I don't think. (When I mentioned Dan's name, he said, "Oh yeah, he worked at the radio station. And hung out with this whole H0ught0n High Sch00l crew." His name is J0sh Schn@ble. We knew him because he's dated two separate K College alums. Michigan gets smaller and smaller.
― jaymc, Thursday, 27 September 2007 14:44 (sixteen years ago) link
(Not sure yet whether he will actually join the band or not. That's a whole other conversation.)
― jaymc, Thursday, 27 September 2007 14:46 (sixteen years ago) link
Dan has a common name too though.
― KitCat, Thursday, 27 September 2007 14:48 (sixteen years ago) link
Wait, are you suggesting there was another Dan M. from H0ught0n who worked at the radio station at MTU?
― jaymc, Thursday, 27 September 2007 14:49 (sixteen years ago) link
I don't know of any other Dan Martin's at Houghton High. We didn't grow up in a very large place.

It's actually quite exotic in Michigan.

Yeah, I mean, if he had said, "Oh I totally know Dan Mart1n, he was this big-time goth in the theatre department," I would've said, "Er, probably a different Dan Mart1n."

Morning, crew. I came in 45 minutes late today, because I knew I could. Everyone is either at a meeting or on vacation. My immediate boss is out for a week, and my higher-up boss is going to be too busy to mess with me for a while. It's sweet. I think instead of dicking around all day, I might actually catch up on some old, languishing projects.
That's too bad, but I understand. It seems... um... complex. Worthy of a never ending series of debates. Which, I understand, is pretty much what goes on between the Supreme Court and Congress. :(
