I go for stand-up collars, turned up ones or Mao jacket ones, something with a vertical element.

My body is pretty shapeless, so it all works out well

i have this charcoal wool coat with horn toggles, v excited to break that out again this year

i am loving the hill-side f/w stuff, especially the large rose prints, can't really justify it the buy but will probably snap one up anyway

uniqlo have a maroon corduroy shirt in their f/w iirc

i am feeling kinda dad-fashion this fall tbh, have been into denim shirts & harrington jackets

i haven't gotten into corduroy shirts or chamois shirts but i think they can look ok if you size up and wear em as a light jacket

yeah i saw the uniqlo ones. the colour of the wine one is a little too smoking jacket for my tastes, and i am not so keen on the wacky checked lining (i am a cuff roller)

these have been in heavy rotation since i have started transitioning to fall

they are actually my boyfriend's but we share a shoe size, it kinda rules

w/ rawhide laced, tho

anyway since ties are kinda my thing i have to say i am going heavy on rough vintage wool & brushed flannel ties, lots of plaids, ancient madder paisleys are definitely seasonal for fall but i kinda hate them

so after i posted about rugby shirts i stopped by the thrift on the way home and found a solid green one that fits pretty well! i think it'll look good under the navy puffer vest i found a couple weeks ago

i like rugby shirts. isabel marant did some women's rugby inspired styles last season that i really liked but couldn't justify spending that much on a casual weekend piece. might get one eventually since they show up a lot on ebay, i don't think they were super popular

speaking for myself here, but there is a weird tension that can occur between wanting to sleep with someone and wanting to look or dress like them. if you have compatible style & size with your partner it can be an added bonus but... it's not a good reason to get involved with anybody.

Rugby shirts and penny loafers, my god, this is like my junior high wardrobe.

trying really hard not to spend money on fall clothes but its soooo hard

i have been avoiding visiting clothing websites and then yesterday elmo linked to norse projects and i spent like half an hour trying to think of how i could reallocate my money just to get one sweater or something

actually though i am pretty set for fall, maybe *too* set, i have like 5 different jackets/sweatshirts, a million sweaters, thick shirts etc

haha laurel, you might appreciate this: i put on a tartan shirt and tartan tie this morning... and i just realized that they are variants on the same tartan. and i layered a rugby shirt over it all. wtf scottish lol.

also, both tartans are of the clan that has the same name as my dog o_o
