If during the run-up, the penalty taker deliberately stops his run (no matter for how long) and then continues on to kick the ball, this should be seen as unsporting behaviour. The kicker is allowed to feint and conceal his intention from the goalkeeper but he must approach the ball in a single continuous movement. It is not allowed, for example, to fake a kick and then shoot in one direction after the keeper has jumped in another.

Read a nice thorough article about this today in a Dutch newspaper. Turkish football law this year has been changed; if a club, for reasons of mayhem and riot of their fans, is sentenced to playing at home without public, only women and children are allowed.

Don't remember the names of both of the captains now, but they both said: "we will never forget this night". They described the atmosphere as loving, kind and encouraging, instead of the normal foul and rude singing from the stands.

I think every league should do this. In fact, ban all men from attending footy matches. Let them watch it in the pub or on telly. They will still lol be away from the wife and get a non-hurtful singing from the stands. Ace.
