sry on the trade offer spirals, i dont think i want another cowboy recerver tho i thought it was basically fair

johnny crunch, Tuesday, 6 September 2011 22:06 (twelve years ago) link

autopick insisted i take a kicker and (dumb) IDPs early to fill out the roster which is draft suicide afaic. maybe there were some settings i could have changed to avoid that? anyway, that left the cupboard pretty bare. not sure how i got 2 TEs early either but that one is prolly on me. as a consequence...

if anyone wants Witten or Finley and can offer an RB that might play a few snaps in exchange, i would be delighted to hear from them

Roberto Spiralli, Thursday, 8 September 2011 12:38 (twelve years ago) link

also, Brady is on the block if you have a decent 2nd tier QB and a good RB in exchange for him and one of those TEs.

Roberto Spiralli, Thursday, 8 September 2011 12:42 (twelve years ago) link

Who drafted Jordy Nelson and then dropped him before the first game? Asked and answered.

kebya, Friday, 9 September 2011 19:30 (twelve years ago) link

who drafted Aaron Rodgers and will probably win with him singlehandedly? not me

brownie, Friday, 9 September 2011 19:37 (twelve years ago) link

Who considered drafting him #1 overall but didn't? Me.

polyphonic, Friday, 9 September 2011 19:47 (twelve years ago) link

Who's gonna fucking have to leave a roster spot open for Peyton all goddamn season? This sad bastard.

thank got forks showed up (forksclovetofu), Friday, 9 September 2011 21:16 (twelve years ago) link

R S, let's talk after this week.
I think Cutler is gonna play well but it irks me to have him on my team. I just don't know which of my RBs i'd be willing to kick in. I'm sold on Sproles as a motorboat for points this season and I can't very well trade McCoy or Bradshaw plus Cutler. You sure you don't want a solid WR? Maybe Plaxico?

thank got forks showed up (forksclovetofu), Friday, 9 September 2011 21:22 (twelve years ago) link

thanks forks but i am looking for a player for my 2011 team not my 2007 one.

Roberto Spiralli, Saturday, 10 September 2011 00:57 (twelve years ago) link

i basically have 2 actual RBs on my roster (even if addai dies again and brown starts for the colts that offense is going nowhere without pmann) so yeah i really need a RB and i am so fkin desperate i would trade brady for cutler and the effective third choice NO back, who rushed for a mighty 7 yards last night.

Roberto Spiralli, Saturday, 10 September 2011 01:04 (twelve years ago) link

sent u an offer bob spiralz

johnny crunch, Saturday, 10 September 2011 01:35 (twelve years ago) link

ok!

johnny crunch, Saturday, 10 September 2011 01:45 (twelve years ago) link

that is basically what i had in mind. win win. was a good opportunity for a man with vision.

Roberto Spiralli, Saturday, 10 September 2011 01:46 (twelve years ago) link

for a man with vision

johnny crunch, Saturday, 10 September 2011 01:49 (twelve years ago) link

damn i need a tight end

Mr. Snrub, Saturday, 10 September 2011 03:03 (twelve years ago) link

crunch made out like a bandit on that trade

polyphonic, Saturday, 10 September 2011 03:37 (twelve years ago) link

Snrub I have two tight ends and only need one.

polyphonic, Saturday, 10 September 2011 03:42 (twelve years ago) link

snrub i have three TE'S, hit me up

brownie, Saturday, 10 September 2011 13:11 (twelve years ago) link

Wow - I offered Sam Bradford and James Starks for Brady. Taking Flacco over Bradford I understand, but that's a lot of faith in Thomas Jones over James Starks!

kebya, Saturday, 10 September 2011 15:26 (twelve years ago) link

Whoops - thought I had made that offer, but don't have a record of it ever going through. Damn you browser-based email systems!

kebya, Saturday, 10 September 2011 15:41 (twelve years ago) link

agreed. i shoulda popped for bradshaw, btw.

thank got forks showed up (forksclovetofu), Saturday, 10 September 2011 15:41 (twelve years ago) link

racksonracksonplax, foster is out for today's game. I wanna win, but i wanna win clean. switch him out.

thank got forks showed up (forksclovetofu), Sunday, 11 September 2011 16:49 (twelve years ago) link

what happened to foster?

Mordy, Sunday, 11 September 2011 16:54 (twelve years ago) link

pulled his hammy a few weeks ago

J0rdan S., Sunday, 11 September 2011 16:55 (twelve years ago) link

i've felt for awhile that there's no way foster replicates his rookie season. he reminds me too much of slaton -- another texans RB who had an amazing first season and then disappeared the very next year

Mordy, Sunday, 11 September 2011 16:57 (twelve years ago) link

foster is sick. i'd be more worried about them losing vontae leach than anything. he'll be very good this season provided that he doesn't rush back from this injury/get re-injured

J0rdan S., Sunday, 11 September 2011 16:59 (twelve years ago) link

whoops oh well i dont even have any other rbs on my roster currently!

johnny crunch, Sunday, 11 September 2011 17:08 (twelve years ago) link

i'm with mordy; i could see this being brooks' chance if he's got the gumption.

thank got forks showed up (forksclovetofu), Sunday, 11 September 2011 17:09 (twelve years ago) link

Loooooool Eli

daria-g, Sunday, 11 September 2011 22:01 (twelve years ago) link

daria- do you have a team this year?

brownie, Sunday, 11 September 2011 22:33 (twelve years ago) link

nope too much trouble

daria-g, Sunday, 11 September 2011 23:55 (twelve years ago) link

oh i knew should have started cam newton over rivers

symsymsym, Monday, 12 September 2011 00:30 (twelve years ago) link

shame about that -7 on defense forks

Roberto Spiralli, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 02:15 (twelve years ago) link

I managed -9 with the STEELERS ffs

iatee, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 02:17 (twelve years ago) link

Woulda had 200 without my defense!

thank got forks showed up (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 13 September 2011 02:21 (twelve years ago) link

Wow, Brady with 50+ fantasy points and still going down to forks' team. UHMAHZING

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 02:32 (twelve years ago) link

i considered benching him 2 get the #1 waiver priority. the FA pool is so thin tho, 50 pts is better than adding ted ginn probably

johnny crunch, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 02:35 (twelve years ago) link

lowest scoring team in a week gets #1 waiver priority? that's actually really awesome, never played in a league w/ that mechanic

Mordy, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 02:42 (twelve years ago) link

yea well reverse order by standings for the season so the first wk is really the most likely time when you could be presented w/ the chance 2 manipulate it like that

if it was just lowest scoring team for the prev wk that would def make for some strategery possibilities

johnny crunch, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 02:49 (twelve years ago) link

every week you'd have the option facing the colts this season

Mordy, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 02:54 (twelve years ago) link

okay, now the question is do i field cutler against the saints or fitzpatrick against the raiders
i'm thinking fitz actually

thank got forks showed up (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 13 September 2011 15:36 (twelve years ago) link

would hate to find out week one was a fluke tho

thank got forks showed up (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 13 September 2011 15:36 (twelve years ago) link

Fitz to Stevie Johnson is one of my favorite combos atm. Hopefully they can break off a few against Oakland.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 15:37 (twelve years ago) link

I wonder if Fitz to chandler might end up being the more productive combo than fitz to stevie

jbn, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 16:09 (twelve years ago) link

Nah, Chandler was just wide open and uncovered. He is slow as fuck. Anyone with decent hands woulda had two scores.

polyphonic, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 16:44 (twelve years ago) link

When's the last time the Bills had a TE with decent hands - Riemersma?

kebya, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 18:59 (twelve years ago) link

Yeah, unless you loved Robert Royal or Mark Campbell.

Riemersma wasn't exactly a weapon himself.
