Moving is like Sun hits the Sky, in that it seems clear (to me) that they both are "two songs, cut and shut together".

Moving works just fine, but I always thought "sun hits the sky" to be a bit clunky a fit.

For me:

In It For The Money > Road To Rouen > Life On Other Planets > Supergrass > I Should Coco > Diamond Hoo Ha.

Yeah, 'Moving' was two different bits of music put together - I think Gaz was responsible for the verses, and Danny was responsible for the choruses... but I've never really got that impression about 'Sun Hits The Sky'.

The "I am a doctor" bit?

In a way, I can see what you mean, but I've never found it jarring or obvious? I can see what you mean, though.

didn't know this bit of Supergrass trivia, found out about it in a Gaz Coombes interview

re: "Alright"

The success of the record was helped by a lively promotional video directed by Dom and Nic, featuring the band joyfully messing around on bicycles and a bed on wheels at Portmeirion in North Wales.

Having seen the video, Steven Spielberg approached the band and proposed that they work together on a television series in the style of The Monkees.[8] The group turned him down,[8] preferring to work on their second album In It for the Money. Troy Carpenter, co-director of Nude as the News, claims "the gesture says a lot about the band's personality — one which has stuck with the group throughout its career — which is basically that of a fun-loving rock group whose undeniable musical talent is sometimes overshadowed by the sheer ebullience of its music."[9]

Coombes on the brush with Hollywood fame:

It was fun, a huge compliment and very flattering. He's a brilliant guy, and an amazing figure in the history of film but we were just doing our second record and that's what we focussed on. We didn't want to take the fast track to TV. You probably would have found us all face down in a pool at some point!

Agreed, that one's probably my favorite. Maybe licensing issues because it was released as part of some soundtrack?
