haha i wasn't accusing you of being categorical.

the odessa cycle and red cavalry are more or less simultaneous i think, published throughout the 20s, although the later odessa stuff does yeah push into the 30s? anyway yeah the odessa stuff is grrrrrrreat. there's also a play synthesizing a bunch of them, i guess, somewhere in the back.

That's a handsome-looking edition, Sonicare toothbrush. I've got the incomplete old Penguin collection, which does have a great photo of Babel on the front.

I love his stuff, the later stories especially, but even the early stuff is pretty amazing

Not sure I'd heard of him today but Collected Works looked interesting in a charity shop.
Maybe name did ring a bell or it wouldn't have sounded like something to check out.
