Keane either weren't out or completely missed the top 75.

That's probably one of the better top tens for a long time.

Also - wasn't it nice of Radio 1 to put the 'ad-hoc' phone calls by the Sugababes all over the chart thus ruining the suspense of the first half-decent race for number one in months?

I missed those, for the most part. I did however notice the completely unnecessary playing of "Crazy In Love" AGAIN - ostensibly because Dangerously In Love has gone back into the Top 20 album chart, in reality to contrive a means of playing big radio hits after they've stopped selling and therefore make it even more akin to Hit40UK. That was basically the whole idea of introducing the album section as far as I could tell - playing forthcoming singles and previous hits, along with the competitions, Blue live! in! the! studio!, Rachel Stevens saying she always listens to the official chart even though she actually stood in for Dr Fox recently ... basically getting as close to the non-sales-based charts as you can within a sales-based format.
