Latham, is that good or bad?

buffandmaxsmom, what are your favorite strategies finding trypophobia images? in the past I just googled whatever came to mind — "porous sac", "thousands of tiny holes", "perforated tissue", "Seal's face" — but I'm starting to run out of inspiration, starting to wonder if there are any good medical dictionaries or thesauruses that will give me some more search terms to work with. I suppose the lazy way out is to just google "trypophobia" but then you end up with pages and pages of trite lotus breasts and surinam toads and nothing new to contribute to the field. it's always thrilling to find some obscure hole-y thing that hasn't yet been appropriated by the trypophobia community, like the caul fat thing I found a few weeks ago. but the novelty is starting to wear off lately, what can I do?

I get a lot of trypo images from the facebook trypo group's gallery, although the group's not allowing uploading anymore photos, the reason of which I won't explain here. The hand that was mangled in a shredder is in that gallery, and when I uploaded it here, I was temporarily banned, so unfortunately you have to be careful of what you upload in this group, which I find laughable, but I don't have any control over that. The facebook trypo group administrator started a trypo gallery in Yogile, so I get some of my material from there. A fellow facebook trypo friend started her own gallery in facebook, which is where I got the nailed pumpkin. If you periodically google certain patterns like "honeycomb" you will find new images that weren't there a few months before. Googling "trypophobia" only shows the same old shit (lotus boob, lotus pod, surinam toad). You just have to be creative and have a lot of time on your hands such as myself. BTW, those caul pics almost make me want to puke. Haven't seen anything worse than that for a while now. Good job!!! LOL ;)

I'm really interested in why the FB group won't allow any more photo uploads.

@Jenny - When photos were uploaded in FB's trypo group, they would appear in both the group's wall and in the gallery. We were able to delete the photo from the wall and it would still be in the gallery. For reasons unknown to the group and administrator, FB changed that procedure. Now if you upload a photo and then delete it from the wall, it would also be deleted in the gallery. After the change, photos were being uploaded and appearing on the wall and people claimed they were freaking out and demanding that the photos be deleted. The administrator decided to ask that no more photos be uploaded. People have complied. The gallery is still there with photos uploaded before FB changed the procedure.

Thank you. That's not as interesting as I had hoped but I'm glad you shared the story.

When I was in 9th grade our music class tried to raise money by selling those overpriced big chocolate bars for $5 each. At the end of the school year we still had many left, so they were stashed in a box underneath the raised stairs that the band and choir stood on so we could sell the rest come autumn. When we returned from the summer break, the remaining 30 or so chocolate bars looked EXACTLY like that book - all sorts of creepy-crawlies had helped themselves to the sweets, eating right through the paper and foil wrappers to get to the chocolate.
