one of them has universal health care

Give our government a couple of years...

You guys have guns and *really* insane right-wing politicians but I dunno, you're not tearing your biggest city apart right now. Fuck it, at least bits of the US have a better chance of good weather. . Voting the UK.

not mexican

yes yes well done, the luchador with "MEXICAN" tatooed on his stomach doesn't represent mexico in any way

Also if we're being real California is just the part of Mexico that got stolen by McKinley and Roosevelt

pretty happy in the uk. or at least, don't think i'd be radically happier in the us but could enjoy the same things i enjoy there too, friends, partying, food, cooking, running etc. it's a simple life.

LocalGarda, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 13:02 (twelve years ago) link

Think both countries a hella lot better than most of the world

R. Stornoway (Tom D.), Tuesday, 9 August 2011 13:03 (twelve years ago) link

i think my privilege would serve me well in the US, as it does in the UK, enough for my life in either not to really be the "worst" of anything

lex pretend, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 13:04 (twelve years ago) link

Dudes there's a reason this poll isn't US vs UK vs I dunno Somalia or somewhere.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 13:10 (twelve years ago) link

Well in that case I guess it should be "worse" not "worst" but I don't know which the pollster meant.

MrDasher, Tuesday, 9 August 2011 13:15 (twelve years ago) link

write-in vote for Somailia

When we were studying global GNPs in seventh grade, I tried to convince my classmates that we could hold three or four fundraisers and outright purchase Burkina Faso. No one would take me up on this grand adventure, though.
