Here's more info on the Goodman thing from Deadline:

“John Goodman is set to recur in at least six episodes of NBC’s offbeat comedy Community. He will play Vice Dean Laybourne, the head of Greendale’s air conditioning repair school and a nemesis to both Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) and the show’s core study group.”

i guess this just means a (long overdue) addition to the opening credits, i mean he's had multiple lines in every episode from day 1.

almost certainly means more pay for Rash, which is hugely deserved and worth celebrating

Lotsa big pay days for Rash - he helped write the upcoming Alexander Payne movie, starring George Clooney.

tbh it got very boring very fast so i didn't read it

tbh though i'm glad there are people like this who love the show even though it's going completely over their heads, that demographic is probably the one keeping them on the air

I know about bottle episodes only because Community did one earlier this season, in a show called "Cooperative Calligraphy."

He kind of acknowledges the "this never happened bit" later on, but kudos for managing to read that far, I only came across it by skimming:

im not sure who that kind of article is meant for. it's too entry-level for people who have seen the show. we don't need him to describe the cast. but it's too long and boring for anyone who hasn't seen it. or anyone who has.

Slate is the weirdest site. They have a Culture Gabfest podcast where like 2 weeks ago they first discovered this show called "Breaking Bad".

Culture Gabfest is a horrendous joke. I listen to it on occasion out of a masochistic urge to hear middle-class idiots try to reconcile what is popular with their limited understanding of culture.
