haha i voted w/ geir -- 'whats my name' was my favorite when i was a kid.
this album is so perfect -- im kind of tired of 'aint no fun' just because i do hear it all the time -- not tired in the sense that if someone put it on i wouldnt be into it, more just seems like a boring poll option as a result
i suppose no one is gonna vote for Serious Rap track like "Murder was the Case"?? thats on par w/ the party joints imo

http://thequietus.com/articles/14036-snoop-dogg-doggystyle
The nadir, though, is reached early on side two, with 'Ain't No Fun (If the Homies Can't Have None)'. Presumably the 213 associates - the track reunites Snoop with his former bandmates, Warren and Nate - felt this was a harmless lark, a bit of a laugh, nothing to be taken too seriously. And certainly the preamble to the track suggests that nothing it will contain is going to rise above the level of schoolyard juvenilia of the least appealing kind. But it's not your imagination that hears malevolence in the way the trio, and fellow-traveller Kurrupt, stick rigidly to a script that follows the title's concept. In between simultaneously deriding any women stupid enough to actually agree to have sex with them while telling any who do that they don't respect them for precisely that reason, they return relentlessly to the notion that merely having sex with one of them isn't any use at all - the women in question will only prove themselves to be of any prolonged entertainment value (clearly, their only purpose in life) if they are happy to be passed around between all four.

this album always reminds me of the year that a 13-year-old middle school kid moved into our suburban neighborhood and was accepted into my gang of three 12-year-olds. it was just him and his dad, and his dad let us turn half of his garage into a fairly decent adolescent hangout base, complete with a weight set and a punching bag for us to not so much use as sit on/near, lots of his dad's LA Raiders stuff and back issues of Playboy, and CD boombox that played a lot of Doggystyle, The Chronic, and Stone Temple Pilots' Core while we played HORSE on his driveway basketball hoop.
also, big Snoop Dogg showed up on my Hulu the other night trying to sell me a six-pack of Corona and I realized I had missed them both.
