For what it's worth, the night I remember as "the night I lost my virginity", there was no actual penetration going on. On the other hand, I have virtually no memory of the first time I *did* do that.

Proper vaginal penetration is the generally accepted definition of 'losing it' I think. Which is something of a shame for me since this happened almost 5 years after my first sexual experience.
