I like the S5, it looks kind of brutal.

I REALLY like the Canyon Aeroad, especialy PhilGil's Belgian Champs colored one:

is it true that Gilbert does not ride carbon (I think I might have read that here?). Or maybe not in the Spring Classics? I'd love to know which frame he does the most damage on.

it's a meme i made and i like (Steve Shasta), Friday, 1 July 2011 18:59 (twelve years ago) link

i reckon he's been on the aerooad more often than not since it was released - vuelta and worlds last year, milan-san remo, amstel gold i think? i have read that some lotto riders opted for the ultimate AL rather than the carbon one a couple of years ago for the spring classics; also the lotto boys tend to ride the regular ultimate CF rather than the SLX version because the latter is too light to build up legally, which is pretty lol imo.

It's funny, where most brands are trying to close up that gap between seaport and rear wheel above the chainstays, that BMC has a giant gap.

took my old MTB to the bike shop where they were taking donations and spotted a bianchi ...pinella, i think? lightweight frame from a few years ago apparently, made from some exotic-sounding boron steel mix. pearlescent celeste, with athena 11, really beautiful.

I think the craziest bit is the cog for the chain halfway down the frame. I'm assuming it's only purpose is to stop it dragging on the floor!

Sick Mouthy (Scik Mouthy), Wednesday, 7 September 2011 12:38 (twelve years ago) link

It must almost ride like a recumbent.

Sick Mouthy (Scik Mouthy), Wednesday, 7 September 2011 12:39 (twelve years ago) link

not that crazy, most recumbents have that second sprocket

caek, Wednesday, 7 September 2011 12:57 (twelve years ago) link
