Man, I bought the 7", and it's pressed really shittily - the center hole is too small to fit over the spindle on my turntable! I tried to force it down but the belt wouldn't move. I'm not sure what to do - definitely a drag.

doh, that is lame. i didn't even know about this til today...

when this used to happen to me I'd use the scoop-bladey thing on a Swiss Army knife to enlarge the spindle hole

I've only bought like 2 7"s in the last 8-9 years though

Stick the pen end of a biro in the hole and turn it back and forth a few times, that usually sorts it.

Do they produce all their own stuff? I always love the sounds they get. They seem to never have a producer mess w anything on their albums, it always sounds like it was EXACTLY what they wanted to do. Love them forever for it!

Albini is their most common producer, but they've worked with various others. Kim co-produced Last Splash.

Cool, I guess I always loved Albini's minimalist recording style. The new stuff sounds like it could have been recorded in the 90s! That's a good thing!

Kim Deal is such an inspiration to me. Just wish she would do more stuff.

I've been in the habit of listening to those 2013-14 Kim Deal singles as a full album, if this ends up as good as that I'll be thrilled.

so so so good. i love the Breeders. if anyone is ever sad about what happened to the Pixies they just need to check out the Breeders, they are still solid.

Played Title TK yesterday for the first time in a long while, had almost forgotten how great it is. Also my LP is worth some money I saw as I checked discogs :)

Nah, 21st century Breeders >> 20th century Breeders. Title TK is their best album, although Pod/Safari is a close second for me. Kim's writing and delivery gets better and looser every year.

"Wait In the Car" will be released on three different seven-inch records, all limited to 1,500 copies. The first will be available on the Breeders' upcoming tour dates, starting October 15th. That record will be pressed on orange vinyl and feature a cover of Amon Düül II's "Archangel's Thunderbird," recorded with Steve Albini in Chicago. The second seven-inch will be available at select independent record stores starting October 27th. Pressed on yellow vinyl, that version will feature a cover of Devo's "Gates of Steel" on the B side. A release date for the third seven-inch has yet to be announced, though it's expected to arrive later this year, will be pressed on red vinyl and feature Deal's cover of Michael Nesmith's "Joanne."
