such a fine line with the italian swooshy styled frames - love the cento1, whereas i'm not loving the dogma (but the prince really worked despite it looking almost exactly the same)

lol aesthetics

hilarious meme-related pun (haitch), Tuesday, 7 June 2011 23:50 (twelve years ago) link

why does layup look all rumply under seatstay junction- that better be smooth like a mirror irl.

it's ok, if somewhat pudgy and graceless looking. if youre gonna make a frame that fat, at least go internal with the shifter routing.

the only other thing i don't totally love is the vertical swage on that tt at the seattube, but i guess they were stuck there with the tube differential. oh man that anodizing is teh sexxxy.

only pick one (meme) (Hunt3r), Thursday, 23 June 2011 21:56 (twelve years ago) link

my friends and i were lollllling at that bike, it is so redonk. $12k "commuter" bike for the ultra-freds.

it's a meme i made and i like (Steve Shasta), Thursday, 23 June 2011 23:36 (twelve years ago) link

oh, it says $1200 on the pics.

only pick one (meme) (Hunt3r), Friday, 24 June 2011 00:29 (twelve years ago) link

i love to make fun of flax bikes because, y'know boulder fakeass rich hippies, but how much is that uuuuuuuulllltra bespoke firefly going for? i'm thinking any ultra fred is dry humping that shit any day instead of the schwinn.

is it true that Gilbert does not ride carbon (I think I might have read that here?). Or maybe not in the Spring Classics? I'd love to know which frame he does the most damage on.

it's a meme i made and i like (Steve Shasta), Friday, 1 July 2011 18:59 (twelve years ago) link

i reckon he's been on the aerooad more often than not since it was released - vuelta and worlds last year, milan-san remo, amstel gold i think? i have read that some lotto riders opted for the ultimate AL rather than the carbon one a couple of years ago for the spring classics; also the lotto boys tend to ride the regular ultimate CF rather than the SLX version because the latter is too light to build up legally, which is pretty lol imo.

ride bmc: inspired
bmc tt bike: fugly. if it's fast, who cares. also, wheel tuck fail.

what does anything meme? basically (Hunt3r), Tuesday, 5 July 2011 21:31 (twelve years ago) link

It's funny, where most brands are trying to close up that gap between seaport and rear wheel above the chainstays, that BMC has a giant gap.

But, it's a Giant.

hey i figure they make everyone else's frames, might as well just go to the source. also, this:
