saw the first, loved the opening act (just for dieter laser as dr. heiter), but hated the rest.

no interest in the sequel.

My favorite act was the middle segment.

In all seriousness I gotta wonder how this script got pitched to the actors involved. "Yeah so for the better part of the film your mouth is going to be 'surgically attached' to Leslie's anus (don't worry we'll put a pad there or something) and Jim's mouth will be attached to your anus. Great concept, right? Obv you won't have a lot of dialogue for that part of the movie."

i don't really wanna watch this but now i'm not allowed to watch it i sort of wanna watch it. also the first one wasn't all that but if we can't have horror flicks setting reprehensible new lows in bad taste and nihilism every now and then then what's the point?

The principal focus of The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) is the sexual arousal of the central character at both the idea and the spectacle of the total degradation, humiliation, mutilation, torture, and murder of his naked victims. Examples of this include a scene early in the film in which he masturbates whilst he watches a DVD of the original Human Centipede film, with sandpaper wrapped around his penis, and a sequence later in the film in which he becomes aroused at the sight of the members of the ‘centipede’ being forced to defecate into one another’s mouths, culminating in sight of the man wrapping barbed wire around his penis and raping the woman at the rear of the ‘centipede’.

that said this is definitely the SECOND most depraved film I can think of, and yes I strangely want to see it

part of me wonders if this was the plan all along? the first one was not really a bad movie, but it's not really shocking or anything past the original concept, even kind of boring, and I felt like Six had more talent than what he displayed in the movie. right from the start he was saying things like "wait till you see the sequel"

yeah that is precisely why I mostly avoid modern horror movies; I thought the plot synopsis of Audition was too far, and this shit stampedes WAAAAAY past that line

all the people I know who went and saw serbian film are huge passolini fans

sweet movie is actually not bad at all except when they go into the documentary mode of studying that commune

the director was saying that his entire crew almost mutiny'd because the people in that commune were so intense

i'm actually kind of curious about how the plot of part ii works -- like, to me 'guy watches the first movie, attempts to actually make it work in real life (this does not work), jerks off to it' seems like such an obvious attack on people who actually enjoy the first film that the idea of anyone simply getting off on the second one is .. weird

that said ppl who are horror obsessives have far more complicated relationships with this sort of thing than simply getting off on it (or simply 'enjoying' it, i guess, for that matter)

the first one did make a big deal out of how the science was "medically sound" which I'm guessing Six doesn't believe but it's a big step towards the second one

Yeah, I was kind of surprised at how... I don't want to say "tame" because fascists force people to eat bowls of poop which is kind of not tame by definition, but at how much of Salo I was able to watch. I thought I'd spend most of the movie with my eyes covered.

yeah, i've read a lot abt ASF, but have no interest in seeing that, either. maybe some day i'll weaken, cuz i've always felt the perverse allure of such extremes, but come on, i still haven't seen the guinea pig films, cerda's aftermath or the men behind the sun.

did see salo several years back, and was impressed, though i didn't enjoy it. it's very well made and occasionally funny, but also slow, repetitive and ultimately quite dispiriting. not the sort of thing i'll likely revisit. and martyrs is boring junk.

finally, object to sweet movie being discussed as a shock movie that transcends the horror genre. it's got shock scenes, sure, but has nothing to do with horror. it's a kitchen-sink political comedy with no violence or suspense to speak of. and it's great!
