Can Ryan Reynolds Save The Universe?

How is this even a contest, "raunchy delight" is clearly the winner.

fyi the "raunchy delight" headline clicks through to an interview with Reynolds and Jason Bateman about their movie The Change-Up.
― da croupier, Wednesday, 1 June 2011 15:09 (twelve years ago) link
Yeah, I just discovered that. Bummer. :(
― \(^o\) (/o^)/ (ENBB), Wednesday, 1 June 2011 15:11 (twelve years ago) link
the word "delight" does not appear in the piece, though it does refer to r-rated "raunch" twice
― da croupier, Wednesday, 1 June 2011 15:11 (twelve years ago) link
It sounds awful.
― \(^o\) (/o^)/ (ENBB), Wednesday, 1 June 2011 15:14 (twelve years ago) link
It looks so dumb, Jason Bateman deserves better.
― Peyton Flanders (Nicole), Wednesday, 1 June 2011 15:28 (twelve years ago) link
I think Bateman solely picks movies based on how gross his character is. Dude that hits on his preggo teen surrogate mom, dude that jerks off into his "friend"s sperm sample, CEO that pays a guy to seduce his wife so he can bang mila kunis, guy who plans to literally murder his boss...there's a vibe and "married guy switches bodies with his best friend in order to woo his co-worker" (as per imdb) fits.
― da croupier, Wednesday, 1 June 2011 15:42 (twelve years ago) link
I don't think I've ever liked him in a movie, just his television work.

i know this guy is a star because he's made a few successful flicks but you'd think he'd have accidentally backed into making an actual great movie at least once. just an absolutely unparalleled run of mediocrity.

I liked Buried, the film where he's buried alive in a coffin. I saw it at the theatre, I don't it would be as effective in evoking claustrophobia if you watched it at home on tv. also I saw it alone in a theatre that I think was otherwise entirely empty? (or pretty near), that probably helped as well

Wouldn't necessarily call it "great," but The Voices (Directed by Marjane Satrapi) is a fun mindfuck genre mashup.
