weird mavado pick...'on the rock' is much better than 'so special'. obv the first list i've seen that i've enjoyed, even with the wtfisms.

a pity they went for mediocre lead singles to represent some artists though...eg i like 'just fine' just fine but 'roses' is surely loads more outstanding even though it was an album track? and if even rolling stone can bring itself to recognise random ciara leaked tracks, surely vibe doesn't need to choose the mediocre 'go girl' above 'high price', 'echo' or 'work'?

Vibe don't have a clue obv. And including Coldplay in such a list is just bullshit as then Coldplay should have been on top. Coldplay are obviously objectively way better than any R&B, hip-hop or dance will ever be.

That's called a "chorus" and, in this case, it's really gorgeous.

really hard to not see inclusion of Primal Scream, Oasis, Adele, Coldplay and even the KoL and Killers albums on that Clash list as just record label appeasement

The Vibe list is imperfect in places but it's the best list I've seen on this thread so far.

Including the Primal Scream record on any EOY list seems charitable in the extreme.
