Hmm. Looking outside now (North Seattle) I do see we have indeed accumulated some. I didn't think we would because around 6-7pm it was just doing little flurries, not much at all.

I know it's corny, but I get ubergiddy when it snows here, especially on a weekend

Yeah, you're not alone! I loved it last year. Snow reminds me of my childhood, in a good way. In fact, it reminds me of Rush's "Power Windows"!

I feel that if it's gonna be butt-ass cold, the least it could do is snow. Not gonna snow? Then please restore the 50 degrees.

You're absolutely right.

Not snowing anymore, but so much soft, soft snow still on the ground.

Only the thinnest dusting left down here, but it may snow more through the day.

Sorry it is not flat here. 45 degree angle hill streets = icy sheets of death and destruction.

Two stuck cars and one taxi on the little hill under my window. I woke up to a chorus of "whoa!" as stranded drivers watched a jetta slide down toward guard rail/I-5/Lake Union.

Traffic is moving along fine on 4th Ave and even Washington, though the parking lots look slick.

I'll be walking out to Fremont shortly. I wonder if there will be a Sunday Market. I'll be back with pics.

The nice thing re: freezing temps is that, for once here, it's not a rush to take pictures before it all melts.

This snow is so soft and powdery that it's just been flying around all day even though it isn't actually snowing. Went to downtown Everett today and the view of the mountains from there was A++

I'm working late this week, snow or not.

SOMEONE PLEASE GO TAKE A PICTURE OF MT RAINIER LIKE RIGHT NOW. I would be at Victor Steinbrueck Park doing this right now if I didn't have a gazillion people dependent on me today.

The cold yesterday totally killed our car dead. ;_; RIP prius battery + electrical system, you had a good run.

jergins, Wednesday, 17 December 2008 18:29 (fifteen years ago) link

Still in the shop today ;_;

I drove a zipcar up north yesterday - it was so cool to see the fluffy swirls of snow on the freeway!

Jaq, Wednesday, 17 December 2008 18:30 (fifteen years ago) link

It's really snowing up here!

kate78, Wednesday, 17 December 2008 19:13 (fifteen years ago) link

not a flake in the city. it was kinda sunny out even

jergins, Wednesday, 17 December 2008 19:18 (fifteen years ago) link

Seattle got effeciently shadowed by the Olympic Mtns. this morning.. which I didn't mind, since the commute wasn't pure hell, just slight hell. (Half of Ballard was on my bus, since their express bus didn't show up.)

I am prepared to walk home to Fremont from downtown after work though, if we do get snow. The buses will be delayed big time because they're only allowed to put chains when they get "the call" i.e. it's too late (I think it's union rules in question, but I could be wrong.)
