i completely freaked out an older lady once by drawing up next to her while she was riding and pointing out that her front quick release was completely open. I advised her to stop slowly. she didnt believe me/didnt know what i was telling her/didnt understand quick releases.
she did ultimately stop and allow me to fix it.

You ride a cruiser.
Technically a 3-speed Flyer, which I <3 very much.

one thing i practice almost always is to ask riders broken down on the side of the road "you ok?" and render assistance if needed/possible.
the other day i was going up a really steep hill and my chain de-railed when i shifted down. two different dudes stopped to see if i needed help, and even though i didn't this time, it was really nice.

I greet everyone I see while on the bike. My fellow townspeople are tired of me already.
