What it is about BEING SINGLE and/or LIVING ALONE that is so ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

1) Can watch whatever you like on the telly without someone else mucking about with the remote/speaking through the good bits/changing channel

Masonic Boom on Wednesday, 28 February 2007 12:54 (1 hour ago)

2) You wash dishes and they STAY WASHED until you use them without anyone moving them about the house and hiding them

Masonic Boom on Wednesday, 28 February 2007 12:54 (1 hour ago)

3) No one else going in your bathroom and leaving the toilet seat up or the shower in the on position so that you get a face full of water when you try to use it

Masonic Boom on Wednesday, 28 February 2007 12:55 (1 hour ago)

Whatever truth they might hold (which is arguable - were Debs and Goldman and Proudhon and Joe Hill and Woody Guthrie and MLK 'predisposed to authoritarianism'?) is obscured by the image of a comfortable middle-class white person patting him or herself on the back.

Bad videos (with cats, or shooting in negative) have sort of become an 4nimal Collective tradition. Apparently that also extends to solo projects. The first video from Panda Be4r's excellent Pers0n Pitch, co-directed by 3xc3pt3r's J3ff Ryan, falls in line: colors swirl like gasoline on water, a cat's face pops in and out, and a long-haired dude (Panda B3ar himself?) takes a shower, drinks beer, and bros out with his shirt off. We estimate that 70% of the video budget went to the six-pack.
