Challops Never End (Pillbox), Friday, 6 May 2011 12:29 (thirteen years ago) link

^^^^^^^^

imo this episode was more fun than funny, which i wouldn't have said of most of their 'theme' episodes, but i'm not gonna complain about something that was that much fun

only just got that their close-up card shots are what card they put towards in the pierce vote and annie was the only one got a red card. also <3 troy and abed seeing each other.

Brie = sw00n

EveningStar (Sund4r), Friday, 6 May 2011 20:15 (thirteen years ago) link

<3 brie. somehow with the character she plays in mad men, which i had watched all of before i started watching community, i never found her attractive at all, or even potentially attractive, but i have such a crush on her in this show it's unreal.

tending tropics (jim in glasgow), Friday, 6 May 2011 20:28 (thirteen years ago) link

I have not seen one minute of mad men but I find that just impossible to believe

cop a cute abdomen (gbx), Friday, 6 May 2011 20:29 (thirteen years ago) link

tbf she was heavily pregnant for a whole season

popular gay automobile (a hoy hoy), Friday, 6 May 2011 20:30 (thirteen years ago) link

she's not unattractive in it and if i was to think about it i would concede that she was good looking, but like i wasn't at any stage swooning. yeah the pregnancy didn't help.

tbh the slowed-down run gif isn't as hot as it was at full speed.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 6 May 2011 20:40 (thirteen years ago) link

see. It looks painful!

VegemiteGrrl, Saturday, 7 May 2011 02:14 (twelve years ago) link

i don't get the painful thing. athletic young girl runs. as someone who doesn't have major breasts, are you saying that the bit of flopping around they do will cause major bruising? cos they mostly just hit back and forth on each other.

popular gay automobile (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 7 May 2011 06:18 (twelve years ago) link

not necessarily as extreme as bruising, but ... Okay look, when you run fast, or jump up and down you feel the force of them literally *pulling* down as you run. A bunch of nerves and muscle inside not a whole lot of flesh banging around like that...it's why sports bras were invented.

Sorry for derail

I didn't laugh much but I enjoyed it. Troy coming out of the bin.

Elegant Bitch (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Saturday, 7 May 2011 16:09 (twelve years ago) link

It was very good, but not full-on fireworks like Modern Warfare or the "holy crap, they're doing a five minute intense monologue" of the My Dinner With Andre ep. They're saving the best for the next ep, I expect.

love this show

da croupier, Sunday, 8 May 2011 12:20 (twelve years ago) link

glad chevy had so much to do in this one, and liked belatedly realizing that for an episode with so much homage, abed stuck to persona and didn't drop much meta

da croupier, Sunday, 8 May 2011 12:22 (twelve years ago) link

said it before, but the fact that character dynamics continue to evolve during these genre episodes, that they're not isolated stand-alones that could have been aired anytime in the season, is really outstanding

Will Bill Murray play Jeff Winger's dad? Because Dan Harmon would really really like him to

Amy Poehler also wants Bill Murray to play the mayor on Parks and Rec, so basically I hope he ends up doing a guest spot as the guy who owns the fake vomit company on the series finale of Outsourced

popular gay automobile (a hoy hoy), Monday, 9 May 2011 22:07 (twelve years ago) link

As long as Chase is on Community, I don't think there's any chance Murray will be on it. Pretty sure they still despise each other.

shake it, shake it, sugary pee (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Monday, 9 May 2011 22:19 (twelve years ago) link

which is why they want him? for the meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetaaaaaaaaaaa.

popular gay automobile (a hoy hoy), Monday, 9 May 2011 23:01 (twelve years ago) link

Dunno why I thought it was supposed to be an hour tonight, but it wasn't. :(

(Last week's half was better.)

Johnny Fever, Friday, 13 May 2011 00:32 (twelve years ago) link

um... is Chevy gone for good?

The Brainwasher, Friday, 13 May 2011 00:37 (twelve years ago) link

i doubt it, but they clearly want people to ask that

some dude, Friday, 13 May 2011 00:41 (twelve years ago) link

imo they're probably just trying to redeem/reboot the character so that they're not stuck in the dynamic of them tolerating or thinking about ditching him over and over

some dude, Friday, 13 May 2011 00:42 (twelve years ago) link

Everyone's reaction to Magnitude killed me. I'm so easy when it comes to stuff like that.

Gukbe, Friday, 13 May 2011 03:44 (twelve years ago) link

What is he trying to say?? POP WHAT??

Nhex, Friday, 13 May 2011 03:48 (twelve years ago) link

lol'd @ cougar town actors in the background

not really as fun/good/enjoyable as last week but i was surprisingly touched by pierce's speech @ the end of the episode

think this was a really season tbh & is probably my fave sitcom on right now

funperson (Lamp), Friday, 13 May 2011 03:49 (twelve years ago) link

I know they acknowledged within the episode that Star Wars themed shows are lame, but really...Star Wars themed shows are lame.

Didn't think it was at all as good a finale as I was expecting.
