I have to say, the interview kind of made me hate J.F. a little, though. There are parts where he is so clearly ~getting off~ on the whole experience of being interviewed about his career as an artist. Like, sometimes Charlie Rose asks a question, and Franco does these smug little eye flutters as he drinks in the headiness of it all. But it's worth it. I mean, the self-construction and -presentation as Serious Artist is itself, you could argue, part of his whole project.

Or treating Serious Artistry as a genuine joke.

I accidentally bookmarked a picture of James Franco (and his LIPS !!!) and I just never bothered to delete it because the icon on my bookmark bar looks like it could be a link to a book review instead of a picture of somebody who was in Flyboys

so he won't be doing Sweet Bird of Youth on Broadway next year after all. Seems like a natural part for him, but Nicloe Kidman as Alexandra? they'd have to undo all her surgery.

'palo alto' isnt so good. i read the blurb while browsing and it was comparing it to 'winesburg ohio' (one of my faves) so i bought it. i didnt realise it was that james franco until i took it home and read the back cover!

You do know he was in Harvey Milk right He's played gay guys befor. I think young actor are going for gay parts is to shows there range of ability as an actor. Like how playing retarded roles use to be "in".
