I have this great t-shirt: a giant seventies cartoon insect leans on bubble letters spelling out the words "Don't Bug Me". It doesn't work, though - it has the opposite effect. I just get guys pulling over in their cars saying, "what does your shirt say?"

I'm sorry, Ally, but Stephanie + knife = cute little anime character with pink bows in her hair. I don't think she could be menacing even if if she was dripping with the gore from a fresh kill. People would be all, "Oh, look at the cute little feral girl! Isn't that adorable how she's gnawing on that jugular?"

I dunno, Otis looked pretty worried when she started screaming at him like a psychopath over him ditching her in Washington and then PULLED OUT HER HUNTING KNIFE. I had to hide it. As he said: me with a knife is only theoretically scary, cos I'm just going to do something to myself with the knife anyhow, not anyone else. Stephanie could easily snap though. It takes a lot of effort to be nonstop cute and bubbly, it'll drive you nuts.

I'm sorry, I just can't stop giggling. Stephanie threatening Otis with a knife is deeply outside of my current world view, so I can't help but laugh. (Everything's funny until someone gets eviscerated.)

Don't worry, I found it pretty damn hilarious myself. No one ever believes me when I tell these stories, but you've seen us all together. We're psychotic.

That's the problem: I CAN VIVIDLY IMAGINE IT HAPPENING. And it's better than anything I've seen on TV in the past week.

Getting zero sleep the night before. I look haunted and unstable, which is my way of being powerful and in control.

Imagine if you actually saw it...here's the scene: Me, Ramon and Otis are all in the kitchen, fixin' up some drinks. Steph and our friend Tim are in living room, watching Edward Scissorhands. Otis has only just showed up within the past 15 minutes. Enter Steph to kitchen, pissed look on face. "So. Why didn't you go to Washington with me?" Escalate the screaming along the lines of "You promised you'd take me out and then you didn't come and for what? You didn't do anything that weekend!" for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, I'm sitting on the sink, Ramon facing me as I studiously try to ignore the situation, telling him to shush and do the same. To enforce this willful ignorance, I have broken out the Mr. Winkle calendar and am showing Ramon pictures of a deformed dog. Then out comes the knife.

When Steph left the room, I hid the knife under the sink. Puking and screaming and ashing is fine, stabbing just is against house rules.

I am very rarely butch, in control or powerful, but smart clothes do help.

i like to have an electric guitar in my hands. that makes me look pretty kick arse. i hope. it makes me feel pretty damn tough. love them phallic things. i guess that could also apply to my car, when it goes. though i guess me having some cheesey eighties hit pumping out of it would detract from the manliness.

i have a great bitch sneer that i pull when i'm walking down the street. i never smile when i'm walking down the street by myself so i can look tough. couple that with some sunglasses and i am too hard. dude.

I only look mean and in control when my viking-looking black metal mate walks next to me.
