Teufel's probably going to be 45 lbs, 18 inches at the shoulder. He's already 2/3's there by weight/volume. Medium size. I lived with 3 toy/miniature size dogs, and they couldn't handle walking 3 miles around the neighborhood, much less joining me hiking.
What's remarkable is how gentle he is amongst all the yapping dogs baying for attention when I adopted him. He's figured out the dog doors in about 30 seconds (the miniature dogs took 5 days).

Teufel was the last of the litter to be adopted. Momma is still awaiting a home, but this rescue group keeps the dogs it can't place.

xpost - omg Dylan is a handsome little fellow! We had a long-haired Jack Russell the same coloring, but he had a huge brown spot on his right flank (so he was called Spot. lol)

he's still a lil scabby and dirty from being OUT IN THE STREETS as recently as two weeks ago, but he smells good now. he's got a very timid disposition (some asshole was probably MEAN to him, I WILL MURDER THEM) but he's already making our other lil dude JEALIS.
