Yeah pretty accurate.

Are those 3 6 or 12 month charts?

My three months, but it doesn't look accurate at all.
This is what my charts say for the last 3 months:
Fennesz 689The Mountain Goats 684Celer 634Deerhunter 513Arthur Russell 465Peter Broderick 416Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti 383The Caretaker 333Runhild Gammelsaeter 268Lambchop 251Grouper 232The Refractors 231Windy & Carl 226Bill Fay 220Jacaszek 210
Now numerous of these artists don't even seem to appear on the picture. That, and it doesn't differentiate which album I've been listening to, but just picks a random album from said artist, it seems.
― Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 9 December 2008 23:02 (fifteen years ago) link
I hardly listened to Luomo or Michael Nyman, for instance
― Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 9 December 2008 23:05 (fifteen years ago) link
cut copy are just exceedingly dull indie dance, a cut price hot chip (who themselves aren't exactly amazing). though to be fair a lot of people have assured me that on their latest, which i never bothered with despite receiving maybe 84 promos of it, they aren't so boring any more. i nearly saw them live recently but didn't pay enough attention to the time.
― lex pretend, Tuesday, 9 December 2008 23:18 (fifteen years ago) link
cut copy have got more boring (they were pretty good live when i saw them 4 years ago) - midnight juggernauts are a bit better

http://lastfm.obsessive-media.de/12month/6x5/lexpretend.jpeg
some of the albums i listen to don't show up properly cuz i don't pay attention to album tags
xp i hate midnight juggernauts too but solange knowles ADORES them. talk to her about them not me!
― lex pretend, Tuesday, 9 December 2008 23:22 (fifteen years ago) link

lex dropping truth bombs. Cut Copy bores the living shit out of me, as does Hot Chip.

xxxp or something
wtf last.fm has not been scrobbling since yesterday at 10am for me? ughhh it's done this before but it's so annoying
― lex pretend, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 10:31 (fifteen years ago) link
Yeah I've had trouble scrobbling from my iPod recently, really annoying. I've reinstalled the client, seems better now.
Cut Copy are better than Hot Chip, in my opinion.
x-post to Herman, that last pic is a 6 month one.
― Neil S, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 10:33 (fifteen years ago) link
weirdly i actually just updated my pod, it asked me if wanted to scrobble and it said yes. and yet nothing has appeared~~
― lex pretend, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 10:37 (fifteen years ago) link
it does this to me sometimes, try re-entering your username and password in the client.
― Disco/Very (Roz), Wednesday, 10 December 2008 10:45 (fifteen years ago) link
Or you can instruct the client to scrobble stuff from your iPod if it doesn't do so automatically.

― braveclub, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 10:50 (fifteen years ago) link
presets are way better than cut copy and hot chip but really none of them are particularly great.
― Disco/Very (Roz), Wednesday, 10 December 2008 10:58 (fifteen years ago) link
hot chip are ok, but when they show up high on end-of-year lists it baffles me, and makes me assume that the compilers of the list only listened to 3 albums in the whole year.
i have restarted last.fm...when i go to my page it shows what i'm listening to now, but then this disappears.
― lex pretend, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 11:01 (fifteen years ago) link
if it never starts again i guess brandy's 'camouflage' isn't the worst song to have as your last.fm epitaph
have you tried refreshing your cache? under help>diagnostics in your client.
― Disco/Very (Roz), Wednesday, 10 December 2008 11:03 (fifteen years ago) link
restarting it worked! all the missing tracks have come in like a barrage
― lex pretend, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 11:08 (fifteen years ago) link
Hooray! I love it when that happens. If it hasn't been made clear before, I am a total nerd.
