Everybody's missing the point if they're going on about how it's so BAD it's good. It's not offensively bad, just offensively inane and boring. We can't even tell how she sings; I'm sure she's fine.

This works surprisingly well if you lower the volume on Rebecca Black (which I know many people want to do anyway)...

every time people make fun of the seat thing i want to mount a half-hearted defense about how the lyrics were clearly supposed to refer to choosing among which of many seats in the bus, and which group of friends to sit with (which is admittedly still kind of dumb but less bizarre), and then the video totally changed the context of the line to a car with one empty seat, but it's not really worth it, is it.

sure looks like a slammin party in the video, what with everybody gathered around watching Rebecca sing and nobody with any drinks or food in hand
