Doesn't it imply in one of those interviews that she's at least a casual showbiz kid enabling her stage parents, doing the talent show and singing group circuit? What's $2000 to them? And those folks already have no shame, so it's hard to embarrass them or make them feel bad. They're already stars in their own minds.
