Watched the Miranda Cosgrove video (thanks for posting it) and I think the analogy to Rebecca Black is that the Cosgrove clip/song is the slickly produced, fluffers on the set, story-line and sequels in the can Hollywood adult entertainment extravaganza whereas Black's is a quickie gangbang filmed by some guy in a Hoboken Motel 6 that emulates the former but is clunky, poorly framed and doomed to a life of hastily thrown-together "all amateur" DVDs and PornTube hits.

And yes, given the ages of those involved, this analogy does make me feel a little dirty. But it's just an analogy so Chris Hanson can ask someone else to have a seat over there.

which reminds me when i was a boy one of my fav tv shows was double dare - oh man i used to sit there thinking of how i would crush that obstacle course - anyway the girl contestants when asked abt their hobbies would typically include writing pop songs - i remember not really understanding wtf they were talking abt - like im sure i knew what a pop song was, maybe i didnt realize that someone had to write them, or maybe i just couldnt imagine little girls writing them, or what theyd do w/them - not sure that any of them actually did write pop songs or what particularly that meant in context or if it was just a cool thing to say on double dare or w/e - anyway friday is a song by a double dare contestant basically

yeah, lots of projection going on. but maybe everything is so sexualized now that people see it everywhere no matter what. like when people were talking about that other video and saying OMG creepy abandoned house who are these perv music company people! and it IS kind of a weird scene, but on the other hand, little kids explore outside all the time! and go into weird abandoned buildings and stuff. so, really, its kinda cute or something? interesting how people read these things though.
