In that case, I would like to invite Eddie Hazel (RIP) to thread.

Some Borbetomagus perhaps? Judging from their live shows, they would excel in this category.

Blaakulla's album untouchable in the skronk department. Their
lead guitarist sounded like a hybrid of Steve Howe (Yes) and Jimi
Hendrix.

''Snuff Jazz is the only that would be a proper ans to the q: two sides where it just doesn't fucking stop. but that's an LP!''

that's by borbetomagus.

Ah, right, thanks. I also now belatedly notice the Donald Miller mention.

Boris - Absolutego. (No-one said the record had to actually be enjoyable)

I think 'The Inner Mounting Flame' is better representative of McLaughlin's mind-melting abilities, 'Birds of Fire' 2nd, then 'Between Nothingness...'. Since then, John has been a bit tedious, IMHO...

That Boris one isn't enjoyable? Why not? I haven't heard it but I luuurve Amplifier Worship.

Err, well there are two tracks on it, 65 and seven minutes long respectively. The first track is just constant feedback, nothing else, utter white noise barrage for maybe half an hour until it gets a bit kind of sub-Burning Witch doom and then goes into the ear bleeding feedback for the remainder of the duration. It's nowhere near as enjoyable as I'm making it sound, and I think I can confidently describe myself as resilient in these matters.

Amp Worship is the stuff though, seconded totally.
