design/concept is cool but the photo looks absolutely nothing like wiz, and he has a pretty distinctive face

also not his distinctive glasses! and also calling yr record "rolling papers" a year after the now getting famous domo genesis = nagl.

I like the font they used for his name, even if it's a little Disneyish.

maybe it's b/c those clash with my indie sensibilities (abstract, aged photo: no text) but the two above i rly see little to get excited for. they're just slightly above generic to me. i'm almost gonna daresay that any kanye artwork beats those. (just did)

I like the Wiz one, shrug at the Young L one (though the besparkled Domo-Kun is a nice touch).

Apparently "Satan I Gatan" in Swedish translates to "Satan in the Streets," and that may end up being one of my favorite album titles of the year.

It's Satan in the Street, actually - "gatan" is singular, not plural. But close enough.

It's also the title of a song on Graham Coxon's 2nd solo album.

don't know any better thread to mention this in: 7 of the last ten albums Pitchfork gave 'best new music' to have black & white or primarily gray cover art, which kinda weirded me out: http://pitchfork.com/reviews/best/albums/

Low-color/b&w is all the rage in design this year, just like polaroids/found photos have been for the last couple years.

disagree, they're amazing. Hip hop Jesus thing is overdone, nevertheless that cover is still great. Lil B as Elizabeth I... words fail me, but awesome.

I love when Columbia releases bring back the little label insignia thing on the front cover art retro-style. Also, good composition on this one in general.

I think they're great, except for their "hey lookit us!" single, "Post Break-Up Sex" (which is deplorable. The rest of the album is super.
