deej: I was not involved in this, but the note on the mod forum states that the back and forth with both of you was exasperating and out of control. So that's the reasoning from the mod that addressed the situation. Are you currently banned from the thread?

personally i think its impt to give ilxor shit for overposting every once in a while because obviously it is a problem & makes reading ilm difficult & boring. but it is p lol when it gets so dramatic & drawn out like this though. honestly tho last person who he would take srsly is you deej, leave this to his patron saint whiney g weingarten

You were having a personal beef with Ilxor on a thread that was supposed to be about the 2010 albums countdown. Several people, including the guy who ran the poll and the thread, said they don't care to follow a completely unrelated beef in an album poll thread, so Matt DC banned you both from the thread for a while, so you could cool down. He also explained this in the thread. To me it seems like a perfectly rational case of ILX modding.

The thing that Deej isn't mentioning is that a) his pop at Ilxor was completely ad-hominem, and b) once he's in an argument he never ever stops and both of them are incapable of having the last word. The thread was full of people telling him to shut up and he wasn't doing so.

It was mostly to stop what was already going to be a very long thread being unnecessarily lengthened by yet another installment in a (really very boring and tiresome) feud that most posters don't actually care about and had nothing to do with the subject in hand. Deej, a short-term threadban is not the worst thing that can possibly happen to you and if you don't want it to happen, stop dragging your unbelievably tedious beefs over every other ILM thread. Same goes for Whiney and Ilxor.

this doesnt actually describe the thread -- as i said, i said 'w/e' and stopped posting before i was even banned

there was no feud with ilxor. i have never had a feud with ilxor, there is no beef with ilxor, this is a bunch of nonsense

the 'tedious' thing in that thread was ilxor's constant posting, and if ANYone else had posted what i did, they wouldnt have been banned
