You can delete tracks. Last fm anticipates pishheads doing that exact thing ;)

I sometimes go through and delete all the crap my kids listen to (though I notice some Beyblade soundtrack songs are still there and they must have played most of the Andrew WK as there's no way I listen to him that much) but I have to accept responsibility for my own drunkenness and leave them there.

Is there a length under which tracks aren't scrobbled? Last.fm seems to have something against really short songs.

tracks 29 seconds and under dont scrobble. Also tracks must play for 50% of their length or longer tracks for 4 mins or 50% before scrobbling.

I've played a bunch of 1-2 minute songs in full that haven't scrobbled in the last 20 minutes.

Are they tagged properly?

Scrobbling's broken, that's why.

Also, if you trigger the played flag thingo in yer ipod (playing the very end of the track, even if you've not played any of the rest of it), last.fm picks it up as a scrobble.

They're being scrobbled through Spotify. They were all fingerprinted ad came up fine on the last.fm client but as soon as they finished they disappeared. About half of the songs scrobbled and I think they were all over 2 minutes. It might be a glitch in this scrobblify thing I've got running.

It says you've not scrobbled since october. Do you have the correct username and password in your client? There might be a big cache.

yes! listened to "life..." today. it's not really my style, perse, but i didn't hate it. i liked the first track and the middle of the record that had the shorter songs. i think listening again will be better, now that I know what to expect.

meaning i can at least try to appreciate some nuance, as i'm a complete metal noob.

I hardly have stuff scrobbled any more :( The way our audio's set up, my bf's laptop's the one hooked into the stereo amp, so all our listening is on his profile. Its mostly genesis, crimson, black metal and metallica and stuff like that. Tho I managed to get a good chunk of gazza numan in last weekend.

oh god "beatlesfanno1" (who i'm still sure lurks here) has friend requested me! apparently "his girl" thinks my radio is "ace" and this is borne out by her scrobbling it to his last.fm page for 3 hours last night. this is good, obv, but can i live down having someone called "beatlesfanno1" on my friend list?
