I've only ever driven through, and it didn't strike me as such (from the road, in my car). But I could be TOTALLY wrong.
― Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 9 February 2011 17:34 (thirteen years ago) link
well, it is hard to judge a city in a drive-thru visit, for sure. knoxville rules.

- a train trestle off Neyland Drive- a house on Church and Henley- the parking lot on the left just after the underpass as you come down Blount Ave from Henley St- too many West Knoxville subdivisions to name- the woods

Knoxville has many beautiful spots for romance, imo. That isn't what this dumb Amazon thing is about, but I would agree that there are some great spots around town for dates and romancin'.

― Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 9 February 2011 18:06 (thirteen years ago) link
i have a date in knoxville TONIGHT. will put this "romantic city" to the test...
― something of an astrological coup (tipsy mothra), Wednesday, 9 February 2011 20:40 (thirteen years ago) link
meanwhile my single, female co-worker has an alternative theory on all this romantic-ness:
I would think large sales of romance novels, "Love Actually" DVDs, and vibrators imply the opposite of romance - maybe something more along the lines that Knoxville has the second-largest population of sad and lonely females in the country. The fact that Murfreesboro and Clarksville and 8th and 17th on the list lends some credence to this theory.

Nothing actually funny. Our boys got a positive write up in pitchfork. Happens everyday for other people. The review is loaded with music critic adjectives and comparisons.

struggling to figure out which part of this bump is more retarded, "happens every day for other people," insightfully pointing out that a pfork review contains rock critic jargon, or the fact that thread was initially bumped with a single "haha," as if anyone would possibly know what you were referencing, as if it's something everyone is abuzz about in our lives, and in the world in conjunction w/ knoxville. like, wtf at the entire thing, its a glittering dodecahedron of wtf! your post is the first i heard of a pfork review for "our boys" fwiw
