most recently has been "love beyond compare". the one that's by Kennebunkport's Earnest Nationalists (the guy's a friend, but.... he's brilliant, imo):http://badrecordingcompany.com/ken/had tha song on repeat recently and it just kept getting better, but so did their 30-something minute entry

sonic youth - rain on tin
funny thing is, first time i listened to this i had the whole commentary in my head of sonic youth & punk basically reverting back to the principles they were so against... mainly, pointless noodling. which was basically my first reaction to hearing this song - but more you listen to it, you start realizing it actually has intent and likely isn't played any much differently at shows. still, it is a tad ironic that this really is the stand-out track on Murray St (far as I go).
