not surprised. destroyer is a geeky -- albeit great -- act (almost wonkish with the insider-baseball lyrics about other musicians and the industry), and will always have limited appeal.

THAT'S NOT TO SAY P4K WON'T GIVE THIS DISC A 10.0, BECAUSE THAT'S THE RUMOR.

The vinyl has a 20 minute instrumental.

lol at least ilxor has an opinion about something, I'd rather read that then see a dozen image posts that aren't funny at all

I am really looking to this album. I haven't always been a fan of Destroyer, but he is an interesting interpreter of other Artist's styles. It will be interesting to see if he can spearhead a critical re-appraisal of this much-maligned sound. If you can look past the production style Hall and Oates for example are exquisite songwriters! At the very least his distinctive sing style should cut through some of that production saccharine! Lets see if he is successful!
